This area encompasses the towns of Trenton, Lamoine, Sullivan, Hancock, Ellsworth, Surry, Sorrento and Marlboro.
Bar Harbor is also home to the Jackson Laboratory and the Salisbury Cove Biological Laboratory. A variety of boat builders including Hinckley and Morris Yachts, various health care centers, the Mount Desert Island Hospital, an incredible array of shops, art galleries, restaurants and services are all here on Mount Desert Island.
